You can sail wherever you want, adapt to weather, danger, or sudden events, and hit different islands to gather cards, relics, and resources. The combat system also got a big glow-up. There is a Countdown mechanic tied to your turn and hand, so how you redraw or play cards affects how enemies respond. It forces you to think ahead instead of just playing cards blindly. Upgrading cards is deeper too. If you collect three copies of the same card, you get to choose between two different upgrade paths, letting you evolve your deck exactly the way you want. On top of that, the Workshop lets you craft Golden Cards, while the Black Market helps you get rid of cards you don’t want.
As you progress, you’ll build up your Repute, unlock new passive abilities through the Heritage system, and slowly become a feared and respected captain across New Elysia.
