The Alloyed Collective used to be nothing more than scrap metal — lured in, enslaved, and tossed aside. But now they’re waking up, rising from the wreckage of their fallen buddies with one goal in their minds: going home. You will get to master two new Survivors and head deep into Petrichor V to face the Collective’s biggest craziest creation yet. Your journey takes you through all kinds of wild areas — crumbling cliffs, burning deserts, and hidden machine caverns that definitely don’t want you snooping around. Mixed Collective adds seven new stages (plus an extra variant) and each one feels like you are stepping further into a place you were never meant to see. It all starts at Pretender’s Precipice a shattered cliffside where ash never stops blowing. The whole place is littered with messed-up Solus experiments, and the terrain is just a maze of tight tunnels, weird nests, and the hollow shell of some massive machine corpse. Danger literally pops out from anywhere. Giant drills dig endlessly into Petrichor V’s core, and if you manage to stay alive, you’ll find loot hidden in twisting caves and dried-out iron tunnels.
Survive that, and you’ll reach the cable-strangled cliffs of Conduit Canyon. Hooking the power nodes back together opens a path forward… straight to a fight against something the planet has never seen before. Operator is all about drones — every drone you control is basically a weapon waiting to go off. Launch yourself into the sky, send a drone crashing into enemies like a missile, or mark a target and watch your drone unleash flames, airstrikes, heals — whatever you’ve queued up. If you chain abilities together, you can run the whole battlefield like a commander. Then there is Drifter — imagine a junk drawer, but alive, angry, and strong enough to throw you off a cliff. She can chuck monsters, chests, objects… pretty much anything. Hit enemies with Blunt Force to shake loose “Junk,” then decide if you want to spend it for instant damage or save it to craft temporary items… or even a giant cube to smack around. You’ll also unlock a whole collection of combat and utility drones. Bombardment Drone turns the ground into an explosion zone. Cleanup Drone eats corpses and spits out gold and healing. Freeze Drone locks down crowds. Jailer Drone roots priority targets. Barrier Drone hands out shields and Transport Drone just yoinks enemies into the sky and drops them to their doom.
Alloyed Collective comes packed with 18 new tools and 6 new enemy types. You can kit yourself out with stuff like Hiker’s Boots for stacking crits, Box of Dynamite to turn your drone squad into walking explosives, or Faraday Spurs to shock enemies just by moving. But of course, there are some absolute nightmares waiting for you too. First is the Solus Invalidator — nicknamed “the cute rolling idiot.” It looks harmless until you stand in its way… and it temporarily wipes out all your items. Then there’s the Solus Scorcher — obsessed with two things: oil, and setting that oil on fire. It throws huge oil blobs that slow you down, and if you don’t escape fast enough, it follows up with a flamethrower that turns you into barbecue. The best part? You can bring your friends along. Only one person in the lobby has to own the Alloyed Collective DLC for everyone to experience the new monsters, stages, and items. Players who don’t own it can’t pick the new Survivors or unlock their own permanent rewards — but they can still join the chaos.
