OVERVIEW OF KNIGHTS COLLEGE 2

The game just got a small update on 2025/11/27, going from version 1.0.0 to 1.0.1. The main fix was for a bug where Traditional Chinese text randomly showed up as English in Chapters 2 and 5. Also, a free epilogue is planned for Spring 2026, so that’s something to look forward to.

Knights College 2 picks up right after the first game, so if you haven’t played the original, it’s honestly worth going through it first to understand everything. Since it’s a super story-heavy visual novel, you’re only allowed to stream gameplay up to Chapter 1—anything past Chapter 2 is locked off to avoid spoilers.

This time, we follow Argo again—a chill guy who grew up in a small fishing village and made it into the Knight Academy. He is now in his second year and with new students arriving from both Frontail and Harshreich the academy feels lively all over again. On top of that, the dragon Baten from Ludovigo joins the academy as a student, and Bayfreed, the knight commander, returns from his expedition. So Argo’s school life is about to get even busier.

The character sprites have been upgraded too. They look cleaner, and now their expressions animate with emotes that match the dialogue, making everything feel more alive.

There are new faces this year—like Gamir from Frontail, Felix from Harshreich, and of course Bayfreed. And yeah, there is one more character, but they don’t show up until later.

Cards are a big deal again, just like in the first game, but now there are around 100 types, mixing both returning and brand-new ones. And unlike the previous game where your roommate was fixed, this time you actually get to choose between Theo and Grantley.

All your actions—moving around, talking, unlocking routes—are done through picking cards. Getting new cards opens up more conversations and choices, making exploration feel smoother.

And yes, bath time is back. You can take baths with different characters and see a more relaxed side of them that you definitely don’t get during the daytime.
