Welcome to City 20, a secret nuclear city that got quarantined after a nasty radioactive leak and was left to rot. As one of the survivors living here 20 years after the disaster, it’s up to you to figure out how to survive in this sandbox world, using the environment and the society around you to your advantage. You’ve got complete freedom to play your way, but watch out—the world reacts and changes based on what you do. Whether you decide to team up with others or go solo, the choices you make shape your experience. No two playthroughs are ever the same! You’ll create your own unique journey by interacting with the game world in a bunch of different ways. Build alliances with factions, decide whether to improve or crank up social tension, work with or against NPCs, and either maintain or disrupt the balance of nature. Resources are scarce, so you will want to use what you find wisely to upgrade your gear. And remember, sometimes you will have to throw down to get out of tricky situations so being prepared can make all the difference in your survival. Every NPC you meet has their own quirks, desires, needs, and routines that make them stand out. They all play a role in society, so whether you help them, take them out, steal from them, or just mess with their day, your actions will have real consequences—both good and bad. If you complete their tasks you will score some rewards and improve your relationship with them, but it could end up hurting someone else.
You can choose to be a model citizen and earn your resources through hard work or you could go the criminal route and risk getting reported to the authorities. Just remember, if you don’t pay for your crimes, you’ll get booted from your faction and lose all the perks that come with it—like access to certain shops, buildings, and crafting options. So dive into City 20 and take full advantage of everything it has to offer: farming, hunting, crafting, and housing. The choice is yours!
