OVERVIEW OF BOLT BOT SCREWY VIRUSES
You play as a robot named Bolt in this super fun 3D platformer that’s clearly inspired by those old-school classics. It’s got that collect-a-thon vibe where you’re always grabbing stuff, unlocking things, and making progress, all while hanging out in this colorful hub world that keeps getting better the more you play.
The story’s kinda funny too. Bolt runs a shop called Bolt’s Bits and Bots, but there’s this rival dude, Mr Coin, who owns a competing store. When he sees Bolt doing better, he basically gets salty and releases a virus that messes up all of Bolt’s products. So now Bolt has to jump inside his own toy-like creations and fix everything from the inside to get his shop back on track.
Gameplay-wise, Bolt has a bunch of tools to help him out. He’s got a wrench for fixing stuff, a whip to reach higher places, and even this glider thing called the Sky Wing so he can move around smoothly. The main hub, Bits and Bots, actually changes as you collect more items. The more stuff you find, the more alive and upgraded your shop becomes. You collect things like scrap, coins, and microchips, which you can use to unlock music, customize Bolt, open bonus levels, and even hire staff from your rival’s shop.
There’s also this side challenge where you clean viruses out of products, and if you fully clear one, you get collectible cards. There are a bunch of those to find, so it’s great if you like 100% completing games.
Bonus levels unlock pretty quickly too, so you’re not stuck waiting forever. Some of them get wild, like jumping through a giant TV or escaping from enemies chasing you with crazy machines.
You can pick between Casual mode if you just wanna chill, or Retro mode if you’re looking for a tougher challenge. Either way, there’s a lot to do, and it’ll probably take a good amount of time if you’re trying to collect everything.
Overall, it’s a colorful, classic-style platformer with tons of collectibles, fun mechanics, and a cool progression system that keeps you hooked.
