Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 throws up to four players into the role of Colonial Marines sent into some of the most dangerous places in the Aliens universe. This isn’t some easy rescue mission where you run in, save someone, and leave. You’re basically fighting to stay alive. Xenomorphs can be hiding around almost every corner, jumping out of the shadows, crawling through corridors, and rushing your squad in huge numbers. One wrong move can easily turn a normal mission into a complete nightmare.
You’ll need to work together with your fireteam if you want to survive. Each class has its own abilities and playstyle, so choosing the right squad setup and knowing when to use your skills can make a huge difference. The game pushes teamwork even more than before, with fights that can go from a tense and quiet moment to absolute chaos in just a few seconds.
AFE2 increases the squad size from three players to four, giving teams even more ways to combine their abilities. The new and improved classes all bring different tactical options, so every squad can feel different depending on who you’re playing with. Good coordination and smart class combinations can give you a much better chance when things start getting crazy.
The Xenomorphs are also more dangerous than ever. There are loads of new types of enemies that will keep you moving and force you to pay attention to what’s happening around you. You’ll have a bunch of weapons and tools to fight back, including stun batons for close-range situations and special ammo like pyro and electric rounds. One second you might be carefully picking off enemies, and the next you could be completely surrounded and fighting for your life.
There’s also a new Specialist class that gives you a ton of freedom when creating your character. You can mix and match major and minor abilities from the other available classes to build a setup that fits exactly how you like to play. Whether your squad needs more damage, support, defense, or something completely different, you can customize your Specialist to fill that role.
AFE2 also launches with several dedicated Horde maps where things get seriously intense. You’ll have to survive wave after wave of Xenomorphs and other dangerous enemies, with each wave getting harder as you go. The deeper you make it into the fight, the better the rewards become. These modes are basically the ultimate test of teamwork, coordination, and how well your squad can handle pressure.
So grab your gear, Marine, stick with your fireteam, and get ready for some serious Xenomorph chaos. In Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, staying together might be the only thing keeping you alive.
