Alright, here’s the scoop about Undead Realm: Ego—a full-motion live-action horror game that puts you right in the middle of the action. You play as Ren Xing, waking up in this super creepy, abandoned school where nothing seems right. As you explore, you will meet other survivors and piece together the story, but the choices you make? Yeah, they’ll decide how everything ends. No pressure, right?

This game is my third FMV project, following Try and Love and Back. If you’ve been around for those, big thanks for sticking with me! And if you’re new here, welcome to the ride. Making these games has been a wild journey, and Undead Realm: Ego was no exception. We shot this in a remote, abandoned school with no water or electricity. The crew and cast Brave freezing temps, pulling all-nighters to get it done. Picture actors in short sleeves and skirts while I’m freezing in a down jacket. That is dedication, man.

Now, let is talk progress. My first FMV, Try and Love, was, well, a rough start—I’d rate it a 2 or 3 out of 10. It was more like a practice run. Back was my first attempt at horror, and I’d give that a solid 6. Undead Realm: Ego? I’d say it’s a 6.5, and that extra 0.5 is all thanks to the hardworking cast and crew who gave it their all. Everyone dreams of making a game that scores above 8, and trust me, that’s the goal, but making games—especially with a tiny budget—is no joke. You may also be interested link the game Cliff Empire

The biggest challenges? Writing a killer script and funding. The story was originally way bigger, but my budget couldn’t handle even a fraction of it. Shooting takes time, and more time equals more expenses. Every extra day means paying the crew, the actors, everyone. I even had to borrow money for this project, but I couldn’t go overboard because, well, I’ve got a family to support. So yeah, I did my best with what I had.

Now, about the acting. Horror is tough—it’s so far from real life that it’s hard to nail. Some of you might find it a bit over-the-top and I get that. But the cast worked their butts off, and I respect that. With more budget, we could’ve done more takes, but when you’re racing against the clock, sometimes you just have to roll with it. I promise to keep improve and investing in the quality of these games because your support means the world to me.

I’m sticking with horror FMVs, no matter how tough it gets. I’ve already started prepping Back 2, but for now, I hope you’ll check out Undead Realm: Ego.
