Revue Starlight started as a live entertainment project mixing musicals with animation to create something totally new. It kicked off in 2017 with the first musical, Revue Starlight -The LIVE-, and the main cast took on their roles as voice actors in the animated series. Since then Revue Starlight has expanded into musicals, comics, TV shows, and video games. In June 2021, Revue Starlight the Movie hit theaters, and the franchise has been growing ever since with events, stages, and live music performances all over Japan.
