Alright, let me give you the scoop on Poetry of Blood: Eclipse! It is a fast-paced 2D roguelite action game where you step into the shoes of Ishtar, codenamed “Moon”, the badass female protagonist. The game is drops you into this wild post apocalyptic world where your mission is to track down and defeat these powerful girl owners scattered across the land. And the cool part? You bring them back to your research base afterward!
As you explore this futuristic world, you will be armed with all kinds of weapons everything from katanas and greatswords to chakrams and spears. Each one comes with its own unique mechanics, so you will need to master standard attacks, charged attacks, precision moves, counters and some crazy rising attacks. Also, there is a ton of action elements, like parrying, perfect dodging, double jumping, wall grabbing, dash gliding and more! It’s all about that slick, fast combat.
The game keeps things fresh with Tarot card mechanics in each challenge letting you choose enhancements that boost your abilities. You can reroll weapon enhancements in the shop, but it’ll take some luck and resources to max out your damage potential. And then there’s Synthetic Blood—you’ll use it to upgrade your character’s tech tree outside of combat, making sure you’re always improving. You may also be interested link the game Shards of Realm
There is also a whole exploration aspect! You will be scouring maps, collecting items and even gifting things to NPCs to boost their affinity unlocking their unique stories and backstories. Oh, and did I mention the game’s got these adorable pixel art girls? Every character and enemy is hand-drawn in pixel art with some seriously smooth and complex animations.
Combat wise, the system is deep, featuring four basic classe’s and hundreds of Tarot card combos to keep things interesting. In the Early Access version, you’ll be tackling 2 major stages with 5 sub-bosses, and there are even hidden forms to discover!
