OVERVIEW OF BLOODLETTER
BLOODLETTER puts you in the role of a medieval barber-surgeon, but yeah… this isn’t some normal job. It’s a dark deckbuilder game mixed with creepy tarot vibes, weird old medical stuff, and a bunch of superstitions. Basically, you’re dealing with some seriously messed-up forces and trying to survive it all.
You’ll be going up against four different evil entities, and each one has its own twisted way of trying to beat you. They all feel different, and you can even challenge them on multiple difficulty levels, so it keeps getting harder the more you play. Every time you manage to cleanse one, you unlock new stuff, so there’s always something pushing you forward.
The card system is where things get really interesting. There are over 80 cards, each with their own unique effects, designs, and creepy vibes. On top of that, you’ve got blessing and curse cards that can completely flip your run, so sometimes things go amazing… and sometimes everything just falls apart. You can also upgrade your deck through villagers you meet along the way, and there are these special “transmuters” that change how your cards work, which makes every run feel different. You’re constantly experimenting, trying to figure out what combo actually works.
The world itself is super dark and atmospheric, full of medieval horror, strange stories, and creepy little details. There are tons of story snippets that slowly pull you deeper into this weird and unsettling world.
Overall, it’s one of those games where you’re balancing strategy, luck, and survival in a really dark setting. It’s not easy, and honestly, it’s not meant to be—but if you stick with it, it’s super rewarding in a twisted kind of way.
