After all that endless rain, the shadow of the Dark Dragon over Tokyo finally disappears, and the sky clears up for once. For a short moment, things actually feel peaceful. But if you know the Hayabusa and Raven ninja clans, you know their job is never really done. Trouble is already starting to rise again, and the world is about to face another huge disaster.

This time, a mysterious enemy is trying to rip open a portal to another dimension and turn our world into a straight-up nightmare. The Divine Dragon Order is basically in ruins now and can’t handle the new wave of monsters showing up. Because of that, two legendary ninjas have to step up again. Yakumo and Ryu Hayabusa join forces in a brand-new chapter of the NINJA GAIDEN 4 story to fight powerful enemies and protect humanity one more time.

The expansion called The Two Masters adds three new playable chapters that continue the story after the main campaign. You’ll need to finish the original story first before jumping into these new missions. The new levels take place in a bright, sunny Tokyo now free from the Dark Dragon’s shadow, but that doesn’t mean it’s safe. Yakumo and Ryu will still have to deal with dangerous new bosses, brutal fiends, and tough challenges that really push your ninja skills to the limit. Players also get access to two new weapons right away, even if they’re still playing through the main story. Yakumo gets a new scythe called Solitaire, which is perfect for long-range attacks and controlling big groups of enemies. Meanwhile, Ryu gets the Jakotsumon serpent gauntlets, letting him throw out super fast attacks and close the distance on enemies way quicker.

And if you’re looking for something even harder, there’s a new mode called Abyssal Road. It’s basically a brutal endurance challenge where you fight wave after wave of enemies with new mechanics, rising difficulty, and rewards that make both Yakumo and Ryu even stronger.

The stakes are seriously high this time, and surviving won’t be easy. Only the combined skills of these two master ninjas will be enough to make it out alive.
