The forest itself isn’t just standing there looking pretty—it’s alive and dangerous. Paths will randomly appear or vanish, forcing enemies to keep switching up their strategies. And get this, the trees might actually feed off the blood of anyone dumb enough to threaten the woods. It is wild. The Elves bring some cool perks to the battlefield too.

There’s Into the Wild, which makes them stronger the farther they go from the safety of town. One with Nature is another that makes them more powerful the less gear they carry, which is kinda nuts but totally fits their vibe. And Infectious Strikes lets them stun enemies more often, and if they hit someone who’s already debuffed, they poison them too. Basically, they are built to control the fight. After you fight through the Battle of Amberwald, the Elves will hook you up with their signature weapons. There’s the Claws, which are fast, dual one-handed weapons that deal extra hits on isolated enemies. Then there’s the Boomerang, a one-handed ranged weapon with weird but awesome AOE effects that can stun and set up big combos. And finally, the Sacred Flower—a two-handed magical weapon that lets you poison enemies and boost your magic damage, but using it comes with a risk, like getting interrupted and hurting yourself. And to help even more, there’s a new mechanic called Seeds. These things are like alive traps you can plant during battles. Snake Seeds poison your enemies, Falcon Seeds target foes who are off on their own, and Abalone Seeds strip enemies of any buffs they’re carrying and make them way easier to take down.
