“Fall” is the brainchild of Tan Haoxiang, the solo developer behind hits like “The Jiang Si,” “The Jiang Si 2: Curse of Soul,” and “Star Quest.” This top-down zombie action game is all about the thrill of surviving in a crazy post-apocalyptic world. You step into the shoes of a survivor, navigating through the debris of a city crawling with zombies. It is all about exploration, resource gathering and leveling up your character while battling all kinds of undead threats.
The game throws a bunch of awesome weapons your way, from automatic rifles to grenade launchers and even some Be careful police drones and high-tech AI companions. The combat is severe and really keeps you on your fingers. You will face waves of zombies and you’ll need to use your smarts and skills to outmaneuver them. It’s all about using the environment to your advantage and deciding whether to go in for the attack or play it safe and survive.
Zombies come in all shapes and sizes from your basic walkers to mutants with some wild abilities. Some of these zombies are super fast, while others hit like a truck, forcing you to constantly switch up your tactics. The game mainly runs on a roguelike system, but there is also a Catcher story woven into the chaos.
