OVERVIEW OF BAKERU
Alright, so here’s what’s going down in Bakeru. Oracle Saitaro and his Festival Troops are on a mission to take over Japan with this totally bizarre festival, and it’s up to Bakeru to stop them. You will be traveling across 47 Japanese prefectures, fighting off evil spirits and freeing the country from their grip.
The game is set in “Fairy Tale Japan” which is like a mash-up of modern Japan and old-school period dramas, spread across more than 50 stages. You’ve got this secret treasure passed down by the Tanuki Clan that’s supposed to purify evil spirits. With simple controls you will be battling enemies and dodging traps to save the day!
One of the coolest features? Bakeru can get a Henge License, which lets him transform into whoever gave him the license. So, you can turn into famous Japanese hero like Kintaro and Momotaro and use their unique skills and abilities to crush your enemies. You may also be interested in the game Go Mecha Ball
The Steam version of the game also brings some awesome new stuff: you ave got new attacks like the Hurricane, Spinning Top, and a combo of both. Plus, there is a new Lantern Boss to take down.
As Bakeru, you’ll be using your “Henge” transformation powers to get past all sorts of obstacles and enemies on each stage. There are over 47 stages, each inspired by different Japanese prefectures with their own unique vibes. And if that’s not enough, there are variant stages where you can transform into a vehicle and race off or take to the skies for some epic air combat!
